Electronic Acoustic
Electronic Acoustic — Sonic Culture
Composing Electro Acoustic for Sonic Culture represented a meeting point between electronic textures and acoustic instrumentation — a space where organic and synthetic sounds coexist, converse, and sometimes collide.
Sonic Culture has long been a hub for innovative production music, championing composers who want to explore sonic possibilities beyond traditional boundaries. Working with them allowed me to create a body of work that is both experimental and cinematic, designed to serve film, television, and media, while also standing alone as immersive listening experiences.
Bridging Electronic and Acoustic Worlds
The idea behind this electronic acoustic was to explore the tension and harmony between the digital and the tangible. Acoustic instruments provide warmth, resonance, and human nuance, while electronic textures offer vast spatial possibilities and rhythmic complexity.
Each track begins with a simple concept — a piano motif, a percussive rhythm, or a sustained string tone — which I then treat with electronic processing, layering, and modulation. The result is music that feels alive, unpredictable, and rich in detail, yet grounded in familiar acoustic elements.
Some tracks are rhythmic, almost pulse-driven, designed to suggest motion or narrative momentum. Others are more ambient, spacious, and reflective, creating environments that can support visual storytelling without overtly dictating emotion. The interplay between these approaches is at the heart of the album.
Why Sonic Culture
Sonic Culture’s approach to production music resonates deeply with my own philosophy. They value composers who think about music as atmosphere, emotion, and texture, not just as cues to fill time. Their catalogue is carefully curated, giving each composer the space to develop their own sonic identity.
The distribution through Sonic Culture also ensures that my work reaches editors, producers, and supervisors who appreciate subtlety, innovation, and the blending of acoustic and electronic worlds. It’s incredibly fulfilling to know that Electronic Acoustic can find its way into media projects where texture, depth, and emotion are paramount.
